"저는 사법시험을 5년 준비했습니다. 그러나, 작년 추석을 지나 고시를 중단했습니다. 건강이 나빠졌기 때문입니다. 그런데 사법시험을 중단하기 전에 어머니께서 점집을 찾아가 신년 운세를 보니 '아들이 9월쯤에 사법시험을 중단하게 될 거다' 라고 했습니다. 한방 먹은 기분이었습니다. 제 삶의 신조가 뒤흔들렸으니까요. 건강은 나빠졌고 시험은 중단했고 일주일 동안 밤잠을 설치면서 뭐해 먹고 사나... 고민하다가 그 점쟁이를 찾아갔습니다. "도사님, 살려주세요. 제가 뭘 해 먹고 살아야 합니까?" 사주팔자를 보니 "공무원을 하면 1,2년 안에 되니 공무원 준비를 하라" 고 했습니다. 들어보니 괜찮아서 공무원 준비를 했어요. 그런데 3,4개월이 못 지나서 시험장도 못 가보고 공부를 하다가 쓰러졌습니다. 점쟁이 말에 인생이 송두리째 박살나는 경험을 한 겁니다. 사주팔자, 피할 수 없는 숙명이라는 것이 과연 있는 것인지요? 사주 역학이 인간의 삶에 어떤 영향을 미치는 것인지요?"<br />

I had studied for bar exam for 5 years but I stopped after last Thanksgivings. I stopped for health issues but found out something interesting. Before I stopped studying, my mother went to a fortuneteller. And she was told that I would stop studying in September. My faith in life was completely shaken. I'd gotten health issues, had stopped studying, and worried so much about<br />
what I should do for living. So I went to see this fortune-teller. "Sir, please help. What should I do for living?" I was told that I could be a government official. I have a fortune to be one in a year or two so I should get ready. It sounded quite good so I started studying for that. I devoted myself in it becau<br />
the fortuneteller said I'd die otherwise. So I literally poured everything into this. However, within 3-4 months, I got sick again and didn't get to take the exam. It was really shocking to me. I had a faith in life that I'd get a fair reward if I work hard.<br />
On any path or status, I'd be getting fair rewards. I thought I could live like that. But my life was shattered by those words of a fortune-teller. The point I'm asking is Is there really unavoidable destiny? How does destiny impact on a man's life?<i class="fa fa-language transViewIcon clickable" title="Translation"></i>
